Towns Cup: Cooke 42 Ballymena 2XV 5

On Saturday afternoon, Ballymena 2XV were the visitors to Shawsbridge for the Towns Cup Quarter Final Tie with Cooke.

For almost 30 minutes of this tie both teams cancelled each other out, resulting in the game stagnating in midfield.

Following a Ballymena yellow card, Cooke hit a 5 minute purple patch.

Kyle Mitchell dots down for Cooke’s opening score

On 28 minutes Kyle Mitchell rounded the Ballymena defence to dot down. Andrew McMurray’s conversion had Cooke 7-0 up.

Ollie Faith added Cooke’s 2nd try

Ollie Faith was on the end of a sweeping move from kick off to score wide out on the right. Andrew McMurray’s conversion put Cooke 14-0 . . .
