Friends School, Lisburn was the neutral venue for the Medallion Trophy Final between Banbridge Academy and Belfast High School. A strong cold wind blew down the pitch, initially in High School’s favour. As the match kicked off Lisburn was hit with a strong squall with heavy rain and strong winds causing handling and kicking problems for both teams.
With the rain and wind at their backs, High School coped with the conditions better and settled into a forward dominated game.

From a maul, close to the line, the ball was released quickly to Reuben Glenn, who powered over from short range for the opening score. Matthew McCabe’s conversion had High School 7-0 up in 7 minutes.
