The sun was barely above the horizon for the early morning push back in the Schools Friendly between Victoria College and Belfast Royal Academy. I took in the 1st half before heading down to Osborne Park.
Both sides played an expansive game from the start trying to put their forwards in goal scoring opportunities. Gradually the pendulum swung towards BRA. They started to control the midfield cutting off the supply of ball to the Victoria forwards. Victoria held out and the quarter finished scoreless.

BRA’s dominance paid dividends in the 2nd quarter. Anouk Bosket’s strike, on 19 minutes, gave BRA a deserved 1-0 lead.
