Royal School Dungannon Medallion were the visitors to Osborne Park on Saturday morning to face Royal Belfast Academical Institution Medallion in a Medallion Shield tie.

Dylan Gray opened the scoring for Inst with the 1st of his brace of tries

Inst came out of the blocks fast, now allowing RSD to settle and took the lead on 6 minutes when Dylan Gray scored under the posts. Reuben McCullough converted for a 7-0 lead.

With RSD unable to gain a foothold in the Inst half, Inst pressure told. Sam Coulter increased Inst’s lead with a 12th minute try, converted by Reuben McCullough to put Inst 14-0 up.

Worse was to follow for RSD. Tries by Matthew Watkins, 15 minutes, and Rocco Steen, 18 minutes followed, one converted by Reuben McCullough to quickly move Inst out to 26-0.

RSD enjoyed a brief respite before Jack Robinson added a try on 24 minutes . . .
