I caught up with the first half of the Forster Cup match between CIYMS 2nd XV and Rainey Old Boys 3rd XV at Belmont Park on Saturday afternoon.
As we approach the shortest day we tend to try and catch the first half of an unlit match and the second half of a match under lights so I started off with this match before Joining the second half of the 1st XV match under lights on the main pitch.
Rainey enjoyed the best of territory an possession in the opening exchanges but they were unable to break down the CI defence.
CI Picked up three points in their first visit into the Rainey 22 with Matthew Kilgore knocking over a penalty in front of the posts after nine minutes.
