AIL 1B: Queen’s University 19 Old Wesley 14

We caught up with the All Ireland League 1B clash between Queen’s University and Old Wesley on Saturday afternoon at The Dub.

Old Wesley started strongly and opened the scoring early on with No 11, Tommy O’Callaghan breaking through the middle to touch down between the posts, giving Ian Cassidy an easy conversion.

Queens responded well and began to drive at Old Wesley and from one of these forays, the pack went over with Jacob Boyd getting up from the mass of bodies with the ball. Jack Murphy popped over the additional 2 points to take the score to 7 – 7.
