On Saturday morning, I was in Bangor for the Schools Cup Group C match between Bangor Academy and Coleraine Grammar School. After a slight delay, the match kicked off. In the 12th minute, Archie McLenaghan scored a try for Coleraine, swiftly converted by fullback Josh Hawe to give the visitors an early 0 – 7 lead.

Ten minutes later, Coleraine struck again. This time, winger Luke McMillan found his way to the try line, and Hawe once again added the extra points to move the score to 0 – 14.

A yellow card shortly followed for Bangor’s second-row, Ben Pyan . . .
