We caught up with the Forster Cup match between Instonians 3XV and Larne 2XV at Shaw’s Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Instonians were first on the scoreboard with an early penalty from Zakk Stevenson. However Larne replied quickly with a penalty form Euan Glenn to take the score to 3 -3.

Instonians continued to attack but it took a while to break down Larne’s resolute defence, the first try coming mid way through the first half when Flynn Magee crashed over after a period of pressure in the Larne 22 to take the score to 8 – 3
