We caught up with the Women’s All Ireland Junior Cup Semi Final between Malone and Tuam Oughterard on Sunday afternoon at Gibson Park.

The visitors rushed to a 12 point lead with early tries from Megan Walsh and Molly Boote, Walsh converting the second.

Tuam get an early try from Megan Walsh

Malone hit back just before the end of the first quarter with a try from Anna Stanfield, converted by Alexa McMullan to take the score to 7 – 12.

Tuam restored their 12 point advantage six minutes later with a try from Karly Tierney before Malone’s McMullan broke clear for a try and conversion to take the score to 14 – 19 on the half hour mark.
