After a quick drive up from Deramore Park to The Dub, I took in Queens’ AIL1B clash with top of the table Old Belvedere.

For the first 10 minutes Belvo battered the Queens line, which held firm. Eventually the siege was lifted, and Queens broke out for Lorcan McLaughlin to score under the posts. Jack Murphy’s conversion Gave Queens an unlikely 7-0 lead, after 11 minutes.
From a lineout maul Will McDonald burrowed over after 21 minutes. Sam Wisniewski’s conversion had the score tied at 7-7.
The Queens line survived another battering before Gavin Nugent was put into space on the right to outrun the Queens defence. Sam Wisniewski’s conversion had Belvo 14-7 up, after 27 minutes.
Queens got some respite with a Jack Murphy penalty goal on 31 minutes to bring the score back to 10-14.
