I caught up with the All Ireland Schools Friendly between Campbell College Belfast and Terenure College Dublin at Fox’s Field on Wednesday afternoon.
Campbell got off to a strong start with an early try by scrum half James Wells who finished off a break down the left. Jensen Gowdy added the extras to give Campbell 7 – 0 lead.

The home side maintained their momentum and ten minutes later they powered over from an attacking lineout for Jed Dornan to claim their second try. Gowdy again converted to take the score to 14 – 0.
Terenure responded three minutes later when a break down their left ended with a penalty try awarded, after a deliberate knock on by the Campbell defence, to take the score to 14 – 7.
