Friends School, Lisburn, was the neutral venue for the Schools Under 16 Shield Final, between Ballyclare High School and The Royal School Armagh.

Charlie Really opened the scoring for Armagh

In the early minutes nerves, resulted in handling errors. Armagh were first to settle and pressed the Ballyclare line. After several forward drives, Charlie Reaney drove over under the posts. Erik Thompson’s conversion gave Armagh an 8th minute, 7-0 lead.

No one could doubt the commitment of both teams, as big tackles went in.
