My match of the weekend was the highly entertaining Regional East 2 encounter between Academy 3XV and Cooke 3XV at Roughfort on Saturday afternoon.
Despite my previous match being only 100 meters away I was still late getting to this one as I had to take the long road round along the riverbank and through the swamp due to the to gate on the hockey pitch being locked.
By the time I arrived Cooke were leading 0 – 3 after a successful penalty from Adrian Dodd and by the time I got set up Academy had taken a 5 – 3 lead after a try from Jayme Hamilton six minutes in.
