We caught up with the All Ireland Junior Cup clash between Cooke and Kilfeacle on Saturday afternoon at Shaws Bridge with Cooke looking revenge against the team that knocked them out of this competition last season.
Even from the opening skirmishes, it looked like both teams were fairly evenly matched. An early bit of indiscipline by the visitors allowed Cooke’s Andy McMurray a fairly easy penalty in front of the posts to give Cooke a 3 – 0 lead.

The play then went back and forward until Cooke got a breakthrough with their No 8, Stuart Elwood crashing through beside the posts, making McMurray’s conversion easy, which pushed the score out to 10 – 0
