On Saturday Navan were the visitors to Shawsbridge to face Instonians in an AIL 2A fixture.
Instonians were first to settle and had a couple of promising attacks before Navan opened the score after 14 minutes, when Jordan Finney crossed for Tom Gavigan to convert for a 7-0 lead.

It took Instonians until the 28th minute to respond, when Neil Saulters burrowed over following a line out maul to reduce the deficit to 5-7.
