We caught up with the senior rugby friendly between Banbridge Academy and and Omagh Academy at Banbridge on Saturday morning.

Banbridge had the better of the first half.

The home side took the lead after 17 minutes when Ryan Hanna went over for a try, converted by Peter Lewis for a 7 – 0 lead.

Banbridge doubled their lead five minutes later when outhalf Sam Leslie crossed and Lewis converted to push the score out to 14 – 0 and that’s how it remained until half time.
