Women Interprovincial: Ulster 25 Connacht 25

I caught up with the Women’s Interprovincial between Ulster and Connacht which was the first of an Interpro triple header at Ravenhill on Saturday afternoon.

It was a fairly scrappy first half, with possession literally changing hands frequently. Ulster were first on the scoreboard with a penalty form Abby Moyles after a break from Kathryn Dane.

Ulster’s Abby Moyles kicked two first half penalties.

Connacht replied 12 minutes later with fullback Meabh Deely squeezing in in the corner to take the score to 3 – 5. Ulster were back in front five minutes later when Moyles added a second penalty to take the score to 6 – 5.

Meabh Deely picked up two tries for Connacht.
