On Saturday afternoon, Ulster U18 Schools met Munster U18 Schools, at Newforge Sports Complex, hoping to make it 3 wins from 3 in the Interprovincial Championship. On a sunny afternoon a strong wind blew across the pitch favouring neither side.
Munster defended early Ulster pressure but then had to soak up Munster pressure with a series of goal line stands before clearing.

Ulster won possession in the Munster 22, drove forward, and Connor McVicker spotted a gap in a sleeping Munster defence to dart in for the opening score after 25 minutes. His conversion had Ulster leading 7-0.
Only a couple of minutes later McVicker judged the side wind to land a 35 metre penalty goal to move Ulster out to 10-0.
