Lisnagarvey Hockey Club was the venue for a double header of games featuring Ulster U16 Boys and visitors, UK Lions. Second up were Ulster U16 Boys White.
Ulster found themselves on the backfoot from push back. The Lions took control of midfield supplying their forward line with a spray of passes and shutting down the Ulster midfield, starving their forwards of any ball.
A Ben Thomas strike after 5 minutes opened the scoring for the Lions. This was quickly followed by Charlie Buchannan’s goal, on 8 minutes to put the Lions 2-0 up.
