Match 1: Ireland 12 Great Britain 21
The first game of the Women’s 7’s tournament was an exciting, but unfortunate, game for the girls in green as they took on near neighbours Team GB.
The opening score was by Ireland’s Amee Leigh Murphy Crowe after 3 minutes to give the favourites a 5 – 0 lead. Team GB hit back through Isla Norman-Bell which she successfully converted to give GB a 5 – 7 lead. Murphy Crowe crossed again in extended time with Lucy Mulhall Rock adding the extras to give Ireland a 12 – 7 lead at the break.
Team GB had a strong second half and went on to score another two converted tries with Jasmine Joyce crossing before Emma Uren decided the game. Norman-Bell converted both to give team GB a 12 – 21 win.

Match 7: Ireland 38 South Africa 0
In what was a dominant performance by the Irish girls the first half surprisingly only saw one try, on the sixth minute, from Beibhinn Parsons. Lucy Mulhall Rock added the conversion for a 7 – 0 lead.
Ireland were too strong for South Africa in the second half and pulled away with a further five tries as Stacey Flood, Eve Higgins, Amee Leigh Murphy Crowe, Parsons and Vicki Elmes Kinlan all crossed. With Mulhall Rock going off injured Flood took over kicking duties adding three conversions for a final score of 38 – 0 to Ireland.
