Lisnagarvey HC was the venue for the Denman Ulster Shield Final between Pegasus and Ulster University Elks on Tuesday evening. Because of injuries and other commitments both sides rotated their squads.
Pegasus took control from push back creating several chances, while Elks were pinned back in their own half. Elks keeper Gemma Ferguson was in form stopping a number of shots.
The deadlock was broken after 14 minutes, when Lucy McKee turned in a rebound from close range to put Pegasus 1-0 up, at the end of the 1st quarter.
In the 2nd quarter Pegasus continued to dominate, though Elks were dangerous on the breakout.
