We caught up with the Ulster Women’s trials match at Newforge on Friday evening as the Reds faced the Blues in a competitive match.

The Blues had a strong first half with tries from Stacey Sloan, Cara O’Kane and Molly Boyd to take a 15 – 0 lead into the second half.

The Reds enjoyed a stronger second half but the Blues pulled further ahead with a fourth try before Rachael McIlroy crossed to give them a 25 – 0 lead.
