It was an early start on Sunday morning for the Girls Development 2 Final, between Owls and Pegasus, at Stormont.
Neither side could gain control in the 1st quarter. Play was largely confined to a congested midfield. It was no surprise that the 1st quarter was scoreless.
Pegasus began to show dominance in the 2nd quarter, creating chances. In the 21st minute Keera Campher’s shot found the net for a 1-0 lead. Further chances went abegging. Pegasus led 1-0 at halftime.

Though Owls created chances, Pegasus were in control and consolidated their lead when Rebeka Scott’s rasping shot found the net, after 39 minutes. Mellissa McGonigle’s strike on 41 minutes gave . . .
