On Saturday, at Stormont, in game three of a triple header on the ‘water based pitch’ Randalstown II met Ulster University Elks II in the final of the Qualifying Plate.
From push back Elks took the game to Randalstown, denying them possession. Randalstown worked their way back into the game but were denied by the Elks defence. On the stroke of halftime Alex Heyburn converted a penalty corner to give Elks a 1-0 1st quarter lead.
