I made the trip to Stevenson Park on Sunday afternoon for the Women’s Junior Shield Final between Dungannon RFC and Belfast Harlequins.

The game got off to a lively start but as it developed Dungannon started to dominate possession with some enthusiastic rucking which Quins never really got to grips with.

Colleen McCance goes over for the opening score for Dungannon.

However, Quins defended heroically for the first half hour until Dungannon’s Colleen McCance bundled over close to the posts to give Dungannon a 7 – 0 lead after Kirsty Miskimmons added the conversion.
