The fifth game in the Ulster Hockey Club finals at Stormont on Saturday afternoon was the women’s Junior 9 Cup final between Instonians 3rd XI and Lisnagarvey 6th XI .

Instonians started the game strongly

It was another entertaining game between two well matched teams. Instonians looked lively in the opening exchanges but Garvey started to work their way into the game as the first quarter progressed.

Lauryn Harper scored the game’s only goal.

Garvey got their breakthrough in the second quarter when Lauryn Harper turned in a penalty quarter midway through the second quarter to take the score to 0 . . .
