On Wednesday afternoon, Eaton Park was the neutral venue for the Schools Bowl Final, between Ballyclare High School and Cambridge House. A large vociferous partisan crowd offered support to both teams. A cold deceptively strong wind blew diagonally across the pitch initially in Cambridge’s favour.
Whether it was nerves or numb fingers but both sides took a while to settle. Two even packs fought each other for possession. Eventually Ballyclare stared to dominate. They missed the opportunity to take the lead, when 2 penalty goals went wide.

The deadlock was broken when Ballyclare sent the ball wide and Isaac Sheils got through a gap to ground the ball wide on the left for a 5-0 lead, after 22 minutes.
