We caught up with Ballymena Academy and Rainey Endowed 2XV’s in the Ulster Schools 2XV Plate Final at Ballyclare High on Saturday morning.

Peter Bailey is congratulated after scoring the opening try for Ballymena.

Ballymena took the lead, in a closely contested match, when Peter Bailey scored a try after 15 minutes to take the score to 5 – 0.

Rainey’s Put half sends over a successful penalty.

Rainey hit back six minutes alter with a penalty for their out half to take the score to 5 – 3 at half time.
