McCrea Cup: CIYMS 18 Grosvenor 41 Semi Final

CIYMS welcomed Championship 1 rivals Grosvenor to Belmont Park for a McCrea Cup semi final with a trip to Ravenhill on the line.

Grosvenor started well and they picked up a try nine minutes in when Jamie Sadlier crossed; Ben Johnston added the conversion for a 0 – 7 lead.

Johnston added a penalty mid way through the half and Paddy Beverland replied in kind to get CI off the mark and take the score to 3 – 10.

Paddy Beverland knocked over two first half penalties.
