We caught up with the 2024 Kate Russell Championship, hosted by the Royal School Armagh, on Thursday and Friday last week.
The competition featured the Irish Senior Schoolgirls Regional Champions. Colaiste Iognaid (Connacht), Kilkenny College (South East), St Angela’s College (Munster) and Wesley College (Leinster) took on Ulster representative The Royal School Armagh with each team playing four games over a 10 game tournament.
The Day 1 matches were as follows:
RSA got off to the best of starts with a 7 – 1 win against a lively Colaiste Iognaid.
Daisy Nicholson opened the scoring for RSA and wend on to score a hat trick. Annie Cunningham and Hannah Redmond completed the scoring with two each.
