Yesterday, with a late lunchtime push back, Ballyclare High School 3rd XI met The Royal School Armagh 3rd XI in the Final of the Gibson Cup, at Stormont.
Armagh took control early on denying Ballyclare possession and testing their defence. The breakthrough cam after 6 minutes. Francesca Stevenson latched on to a through ball and guided her shot past the oncoming keeper to put Armagh 1-0 up.
Though pressure continued Armagh couldn’t score again in the 1st quarter.
The 2nd quarter was much the same fare, with Armagh pinning Ballyclare back inside their own half.
