On Tuesday afternoon, in the second game of a triple header at Havelock Park, Banbridge, Banbridge Academy 2nd XI met Wallace High School 2nd XI in the Dowdall Cup.
Banbridge forced Wallace back from push back controlling midfield, spraying passes around.
In the 8th minute Noel Lutton struck the opening goal to put Banbridge 1-0 up. They continued to dominate but couldn’t break a stubborn Wallace defence.
It was the same pattern in the 2nd quarter, territorially Banbridge were dominant allowing Wallace only occasional forays into the Banbridge half. The score remained 1-0 to Banbridge at halftime.
