We caught up with the final round of Championship 1 as CIYMS entertained Cooke at Belmont on Saturday afternoon.
It was a tight and somewhat scrappy first half with the only score coming five minutes in from Cooke’s Callum Foreman who went over for an unconverted try to give Cooke a 0 – 5 lead as the teams went into half time.
The Second half was fairly similar but the game did liven up in the last quarter.
CI’s Mark Scott re-activated the scoreboard with a try mid way through the half and with Paddy Beverland adding the conversion CI took a 7 – 5 lead.
