Women’s Premiership: Queens 20 Belfast Harlequins 0

On a sunny Sunday at lunchtime Queens faced near neighbours, from just down the Malone Road, Belfast Harlequins, in a Women’s Premiership fixture at The Dub. I took in the 1st half, before moving to the Suzianne Fleming Cup tie.

Quicky, despite the weather conditions being made for running rugby, the game developed into a slugfest between the packs. Play was almost entirely between the 22s.

At the bottom of the pile, Lindi Gwembe scored for Queens

Queens gained possession in the Quins 22 and after several lineout mauls Lindi Gwembe drove over from close range after 16 minutes.
