My last match on Saturday was the Women’s All Ireland League match between Cooke and Railway Union at Shaws Bridge.
It was a bit of a scrappy first half which saw Cooke mostly on the back foot. It was enough to knock Railway out of their stride but the visitors did find enough continuity to cross twice with Michaela O’Neill Johnson picking up the first try about 20 minutes in to be followed by the impressive Maddy Aberg moments later. The latter was converted by Aimee Clarke to give Railway a 0 – 12 lead at half time.

An upright tackle from Clark saw her red carded at the start of the second half but the visitors continued to control the game with . . .
