I caught up with our Features Schools Sullivan Upper and Banbridge Academy in a senior friendly on Saturday morning at Holywood.
It was an entertaining game though Banbridge had Sullivan on the back foot most of the time. Sullivan’s Tara McComb worked overtime in defence, she just gets better every time I see her, but it was largely rear guard work for her and the equally impressive Ellie Dines in the Sullivan defence.
Banbridge took the lead in the first quarter after a trademark driving run and cross by captain Ellen Jack was turned in by the ever alert Mya Gray to give the visitors a 0 – 1 lead.
