Stormont was the venue for Wednesday’s double header of semi-finals in the Senior Schoolgirls Cup. First up Ballyclare High School faced Portadown College.
Perhaps nerves played its part in the opening exchanges, which saw overhit passes and failure to control first touches.
After pressure Portadown took the lead from Rebecca Owen’s shot after 13 minutes. Portadown held a 1st quarter 1-0 lead.

Emily Adamson doubled the lead after 17 minutes as Portadown pressure continued. Ballyclare had difficulty clearing their lines and play was largely in their half.
