We caught up with the Junior 3 clash between Banbridge and Ulster University Elks 3rd XIs at Havelock Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Elks were looking a response after a big defeat by CI 2XI last weekend but despite battling hard in the first quarter they went into the second quarter a goal down after a strike by Banbridge’s Julie Pollock.
The second quarter was an even affair and the teams changed ends with Banbridge still defending that 1 – 0 lead.
The Elks got their reward in the third quarter when Cassie Liggett netted to tie the game 1 – 1 and it was al to play for in the final quarter.
