Banbridge and Queen’s University 2XV’s met in a Junior Cup Group 2 match at Rifle Park on a chilly Saturday afternoon.

Queens started well pressing Banbridge back to their try line in the early exchanges but it was the home team that scored first when Ryan Matthews went over in the corner after 15 minutes to give Banbridge a 5 – 0 lead.

Aaron Kennedy added a penalty for Banbridge a few minutes later, after Queen’s lost a player for 10 minutes, to take the score to 8 – 0.
