I caught up with the Junior 7 match between Owls 3rd XI and Banbridge 4th XI at Roughfort on Saturday afternoon.

I joined the game midway through the first quarter, there was no score and it remained that way until the first break.

Owls got the scoreboard clicking over in the second quarter with an accurate strike from Gemma Menaul at a penalty corner to give the home side a 1 – 0 lead as the teams changed ends.

The Owls team certainly enjoyed playing towards the camera in the second half and the gaols came quickly.
