By Saturday lunchtime it was sunny and deceptively warm at Upper Malone for the Women Premier clash between Queens and Lisnagarvey. Queens were hoping to consolidate 1st place in the league, Lisnagarvey to move up from 6th place.

Queens dominated a scoreless 1st half, creating, but not taking chances. Shots on target were stopped by the Garvey keeper, in impressive form. Garvey only managed one visit to the Queen ‘D’, the 1st half, when they won a penalty corner.

Queens finally opened the scoring in the 32nd minute . . .
