Women AIL: Cooke 0 Blackrock College 65

I caught up with the first half of the Women’s All Ireland League match between Cooke and Blackrock College at Shaw’s Bridge on Saturday evening.

Cooke were still looking for their first win in the completion and the visit of a fully stacked Blackrock College is the last thing you are looking for in that situation.

Blackrock got their account up and running in the 12th minute with Aoife Wafer bustling over for the opening score, Abby Moyles added the extras to take the score to 0 – 7.

This was quickly followed by a try from Catherine Martin which went unconverted leaving the score at 0 – 12.
