Larne Grammar welcomed RBAI to Lower Cairncastle Road on Saturday morning for a squad hit out ahead of their Schools Cup Pool D match , next weekend, against Portadown College.
With RBAI 1st XV busy at Osborne later Saturday morning this was a good run out for the Belfast schools’ extended squad despite lacking the team familiarity of the Larne side.

Larne went into the lead just under 10 minutes in with the impressive Thomas Patton chasing down a grubber from a lose ball in the Inst 22.
Patton went over for his second try 6 minutes later showing his full repertoire as he burst down the left wing to round the defence to finish close to the posts.
