I caught up with the Schools Cup Pool B clash between Dromore High and Down High early Saturday morning at Barban Hill.
This one promised to be tight, based on current form, though the strong wind blowing down the pitch had the biggest influence on the teams’ success.
Dromore started with the wind at their backs and they were first on the scoreboard with Chris McBride taking on the defence out wide to open the scoring. Daniel Ennis-McManus added the extras to give Dromore a 7 – 0 lead.

Down hit back fairly quickly when a nice cut from Lewis Connolly carved up the Dromore defense to take the score to 7 – 5 after 10 minutes . . .
