Men Premier: Queen’s University 2 Bangor 1

I stayed on the main pitch at The Dub to catch the Ulster Hockey Men’s Premier League match between Queens and Bangor. Bangor started the match in the top half of the league and Queens were looking for a run of wins to climb out of the bottom three.

Bangor on the attack in the first quarter.

In a lively start Bangor enjoyed the best of territory and possession in the first quarter but Queens took a 1 – 0 lead into the second quarter after a late penalty corner strike from Conor Irwin.
