After a busy morning I picked up the EYHL match between, table toppers, Banbridge and Monkstown at Havelock Park on Saturday afternoon.

Banbridge got off to a flying start when Philip Brown converted a penalty corner just nine minutes into the game.

However, Monkstown responded swiftly with a field goal by Andrew O’Brien-Honohan in the eleventh minute to take the score to 1 – 1 at the end of the first quarter
