Junior Cup: Queen’s University II 24 City of Derry 38

We caught up with the Junior Cup group 2 match between Queen’s University 2nd XV and City of Derry at the Dub on Saturday afternoon.

The first ten minutes of the game were balanced between the two sides. In the 10th minute, City of Derry out-half Alex McDonnell slotted a penalty from just inside the 22, making the score 0-3 City of Derry.

Queens replied in the 14th minute as prop Flynn Longstaff went over, and out-half Fionn O’Hara added the 2 extra points to take the score to 7 – 3.

Flynn Longstaff scored a hat-trick for Queen’s against Derry.
