I had the pleasure of covering the Junior 3 clash between CIYMS 2nd XI and NI Civil Service 3rd XI on my trip to Belmont on Saturday lunchtime with CI looking to consolidate their position at the top of the league.
My luck continued with another enjoyable and competitive match with plenty of photo opportunities as Service looked to take the game to CI in the opening exchanges.
The visitors got their breakthrough 12 minutes in with Rachel Holmes finding the net after a rebound at a penalty corner.
CI hit back almost immediately with Jess Sayer getting the final touch to a cross from Naomi Cooper to take the score to 1 – 1 at the end of the first quarter.
