Gordon West Cup: PSNI 3 Co Cavan 40

We caught up with the Gordon West Cup re-fixed match between PSNI RFC and Co Cavan RFC at Newforge in the Saturday 2.30 pm slot.

Cavan got off to the best of starts in a match they pretty much controlled from start to finish. Scrum half Wayne Mackin nipped over for the first try after 5 minutes and Brandon Cooke converted to take it to 0 – 7.

Second row Lloyd Hastings went over five minutes later, converted by Cooke, to push it out to 0 – 14 before the PSNI got on the scoreboard with a penalty from their scrum half to take it to 3 – 14.
