I caught up with the first half of an enjoyable U14 regional Club Friendly on a wet Saturday morning at Roughfort as Academy and Donaghadee went head to head.
It was a high quality game played over four 20 minute quarters, though with other commitments I was only able to stay for the first two. However, there was plenty of action in the high quality game.
Donaghadee enjoyed the ascendancy in the early stages with some nice hands in the pouring rain sending them over in the corner.
Academy hit back quicky and the battled back to tie the game at 1 try all.
